It was a starry night – oh so bright…
the moons glowing light and
the twinkling stars led us
thru the darkness full of surprises …
we close our eyes, our bodies shiver
was fear creeping up on us
no, it was a peaceful and serene feeling
we embrace the softness
of a starry night enveloping us
into the mystery of the Universe
listen carefully to the crickets chirping,
a cats meowing, a frog croaking,
the howling of coyotes catching a prey ,
the curiosity of a rabbit gets the better of him
hopping towards us – we scream: watch out
could it hear us … as a night hawk elegantly flying
in the sky on the outlook of a meal…
what is that smell - oh so sweet
a flower, a tree or just the perfume of
a night so bright and clear,
with you next to me my dear…
